Irlam Rangers AFC>>Code of Conduct Parents

The Irlam Rangers AFC Code of Conduct for Parents/Carers/ Spectators 2012

A parent’s/carers/spectator’s expectations and attitudes have a significant bearing on a child’s attitude towards:

a)  Other players

b) Officials

c) Managers

d)  Spectators.

Irlam Rangers AFC will ensure that parents/carers/spectators within your club are always positive and encouraging towards all of the children - not just their own - and will encourage parents/carers/spectators to:

  1. Applaud the opposition as well as their own team

  2. Avoid coaching the child during the game

  3. Not to shout and scream

  4. Respect the referee’s decision

  5. Give attention to each of the children involved in football not just the most talented

  6. Give encouragement to everyone to participate in football.

The club will ensure that parents/carers/spectators agree and adhere to the Code of Conduct and Child Protection Policy.

It is vital that you also respect your manager/coach with decisions made during a game, how the teams are formed and rotation of playing positions.

Equally the result of the game should not matter, ask your child ‘Did you enjoy yourself’ talk up the performance.

Soccer is a fun and friendly environment, situations may arise in which comments and abusive remarks are made by adults, parents, managers, from the touch line.

So stay calm – don’t get into a disagreement – report the matter to our club – set a positive example and we will take the issue to the Manchester Football Association.
